Spectral Engines is currently building an IoT solution concept for applications in Industry 4.0/Smart Factory, Smart Farming, Smart Security & Safety and Smart Living. Aleksi Ukkola (M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering) joined Spectral Engines Oy in the position of Product Manager on 5th of December 2016. Aleksi has 20 years’ experience and wide knowledge about microelectronics, sensor development, manufacturing technologies and IoT services development. He’s able to utilize his experience and vision to bring new intelligence to many measuring applications.

Spectral Engines will introduce new IoT-based Food Scanner solution concept at Photonics West 2017 in San Francisco. Food Scanner concept is truly portable NIR-spectral sensor device utilizing advanced algorithms for fat, protein and hydrocarbon prediction.
