As a Sales Manager, you will drive the sales of Spectral Engines’ technically sophisticated products mainly in North America together with our sales team and partners. You will serve customers by selling our material sensing products and making sure that the products meet customers’ needs. Your role is to build our sales strategy and manage sales channels to meet our sales targets as a part of our international sales team. The position will be based at our Head office in Helsinki, Finland but requires traveling.

 
Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for Spectral Engines’ NIRONE Sensor, Device and Scanner products sales in North America, and to some extent globally
  • Work with new and existing customers to meet their business needs as well as work with the internal sales and support teams to prepare sales presentations and proposals
  • Account development and management, growth of existing accounts within an established regional geographic territory or industry market segment
  • Create customer lists of dedicated markets and contact them efficiently and proactively to study customers’ needs more thoroughly
  • Capture sales activities and information into corporate sales tracking systems and further develop our sales process
  • Work together and support regional distributors in US and Canada
  • Apply extensive knowledge of products, pricing plans, competition and selling skills to determine the best method of obtaining sales and increasing market or account penetration
  • Report directly to the SVP of Sales.

 

Job Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of the sales process of complex technical products and solutions (spectral sensors)
  • 5+ years of successful business to business sales experience including growing major accounts and new market development
  • A proven track record of meeting quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Proven ability to identify and capture business opportunities and close both one-off and large OEM business cases
  • Experience with sensor and measurement technologies in manufacturing industry, agriculture, portable inspection or related applications is a plus
  • Experience with spectroscopy and material analysis related products is preferred
  • Experience of developing and maintaining strategic relationships with executive level customer contacts
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English are a must, Finnish is beneficial
  • Experience with proven track record of sales process development, particularly in the US market
