Food composition: fat, moisture, protein, salt, contaminants

Near-infrared measurements have been extensively used for the assessment and determination of the quality of a plethora of food products, including but not limited to: dairy products, such as cheese, milk, yogurt, soft drinks and mineral waters, grains and flours, fruits and vegetables. Depending on the products, multiple parameters can be determined with NIR measurements, including the content of fat, moisture, protein, salt, contaminants, and sugar in foodstuffs.
